W. Blair Waltrip has been a director of the SMHG since January 1999. He was a director of TEI, Inc. from July 1988 until the formation of Sanders Morris Harris Group. He is also a director of Service Corporation International and was employed in various capacities by that company from 1977 until January 2000, last serving as an Executive Vice President for more than five years.
